LEPTOSPIRA-IGM Detail

The Leptospira IgM Test is a serological test used for the qualitative detection of IgM antibodies against Leptospira species in human serum or plasma. Leptospira is a spiral-shaped bacterium that causes leptospirosis, a zoonotic disease transmitted through contact with water or soil contaminated by the urine of infected animals.

This test is valuable for the early diagnosis of leptospirosis, particularly during the first week of symptoms, when IgM antibodies start to appear.
