TYPHOID IgG/IGM(CARD TEST) Detail

The Typhoid IgG/IgM Card Test is a rapid immunochromatographic assay designed for the qualitative detection of IgG and IgM antibodies to Salmonella typhi in human blood, serum, or plasma. This test helps in the early diagnosis of typhoid fever, a bacterial infection caused primarily by Salmonella typhi and sometimes Salmonella paratyphi.

• IgM antibodies indicate a recent or ongoing infection.

• IgG antibodies suggest a past infection or late-stage immune response.

The card test provides results within 15–20 minutes and is especially useful in outpatient and emergency settings where quick diagnosis is essential. While it is a convenient screening tool, results should be confirmed with culture or other laboratory methods for clinical diagnosis.
